Roy Koelbl is the founder of IntAlliance Partners,an executive level innovations and new ventures company providing services in technology, corporate and product positioning, business development, and financing. Mr. Koelbl previously served as an executive and officer of Siemens-Optisphere and Teleglobe/Bell Canada Enterprises (BCE), a global communications company with terrestrial, submarine and satellite infrastructures. At Siemens, he was the Senior Vice President and CTO for worldwide optical networking, defining Siemens’ product roadmap, technology strategy, investment opportunities, and merger and acquisition opportunities. At Teleglobe/BCE, he was the Vice President of Worldwide Network Infrastructure, simultaneously managing groups in Europe, Canada, and the US with an annual capital budget in excess of $1 billion. He is the former Director of Network Architecture and Planning at Southern New England Telephone (SNET) and former Director of Access Technologies for Bell Communications Research (now Telcordia). Mr. Koelbl has a broad range of national and international experiences, including accomplishments such as: chairing a subcommittee for the FCC; presenting on Capitol Hill on healthcare; being an internationally invited speaker presenting on cross border investment and business development; participating in efforts to increase technology trade between the US and European countries; and being part of a small leadership group travelling to China in the mid 90’s to develop early joint venture opportunities between the US and China. Mr. Koelbl is currently very active in healthcare issues and the healthcare industry, both domestically and internationally. A considerable amount of his recent efforts have involved the application of genetic testing. Although Mr. Koelbl is a naturalized US citizen, in 2007 he was made a New Brunswick Ambassador for his home province of New Brunswick, Canada by the then Premier Shawn Graham for his efforts to create cross border business and investment opportunities. Mr. Koelbl received a B.Sc. (Applied Physics) from the University of New Brunswick and an M.Sc. (Eng) in Nuclear Physics from Queens University. |
